Words from Pastor David Hetzer

service times

We have one life on earth, and we all want to make the most of it. Many desire a purpose for life, rich relationships, and a loving family. But the question that remains is "how?" How do you or I really find all that this life has for us? That's where the Bible comes in.

God has given us His Word to show us the meaning of life and the way to experience its fullness. At North Hills Baptist Church we focus on helping you discover from God's Word all that you need to know so you can really live. We invite you to visit us this Sunday and begin the journey God has for you.

Core Values

Loving the Lord. When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, He said in Matthew 22:37, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." Our first value therefore, is to make loving the Lord God the most important thing we do at North Hills. We sing, give, serve, and preach as an expression of our love for Him.

Learning the Word. 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 teaches that the Bible was given to us by God for the purpose of knowing Who God is, and how to live a life that pleases Him. 2 Timothy 4:2 expresses that God desires His Word to be preached or declared as a means of keeping His people on the right path in life. Therefore, we make the expository preaching of God's Word the primary part of our service.

Living the Life. Matthew 5:16 says, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." It is not enough for Christians to learn the Word. We must also live the life. Simply put, we must live the life God has called us to, so that people can see God's ability to change lives. At North Hills Baptist Church we strive to "be real". We want our actions, words, and care for others to be consistent with the teachings of the Bible.
